In 2018, VK Chrome (Pty) Ltd forged a strategic alliance with Ferro Chrome Furnaces (Pty) Ltd, securing the lease and operational rights of the Rustenburg Washplant. This pivotal move positioned VK Chrome as the primary operator of one of the region's most significant chrome processing facilities.
The Wash Plant stands as a testament to engineering ingenuity and operational excellence. Following recent expansion investment, the facility now processes up to 80,000 tonnes of chrome sweepings and/or tailings per month through a multi-stage gravity separation circuit.
VK Chrome is actively pursuing full acquisition of the Wash Plant, further cementing its long-term position in the chrome processing landscape.
